Today I have mostly been ill
 Today
I am unwell. I have been since Tuesday. Not fatal or anything but a
particularly lethal strain of the cold or bird flu as some would have you
believe. I am currently eating my way through a box of Cold Relief
Capsules however I'd probably find it more beneficial to bang my head off the
wall at the moment.
Unfortunately tonight whether ill or not I have to make my presence felt at
my cousin's birthday/house warming party. Normally I'd decline since I'm
such a bore but she was in New Zealand for her 30th last year and it really
would make me look like a horrible person if I didn't go at least long enough to
remind her that she is in fact getting on a bit and also that I am still miles
behind her.
[April 28, 2006] Stopping work what a joy!
It is supposed to be joy to stop work for holidays but yesterday it was
nothing but a nightmare. This was probably made all the worse because I
was feeling unwell but nevertheless I couldn't help but feeling more stressed
when leaving than I should have. As you probably all know the inevitable
happens - you stop - someone has a problem - they don't know how to fix it - so
you return to a mountain of problems and this makes you ask the question was it
worth me going away at all.
However on a more enjoyable note I do get to go away with my Gran for 4
nights to the lovely Portpatrick where we will be staying in a gorgeous hotel
with a delicious seaview.

 When
we are away down in Portpatrick I am really hoping that we get to go to a
castle. I haven't been to a really good one in ages and I also have my
National Trust Card that needs a good bashing to get my money's worth from it.
